Shou Sugi Ban is the Japanese tradition of preserving wood by charring it. The heavily charred surface of the wood makes the wood very durable and it also becomes resistant to fire, rot, insect, and decay. With this texture, the wood products are both functional and interesting pieces to add to a wall, ceiling, furniture piece and more!
