This beautiful staircase was constructed with our Rift & Quartered White Oak stair parts. The pieces for this staircase were manufactured as a complete unit with the riser attached to the tread due to the unique angle. The stair parts are also complete with unique grooves and aluminum slip arresters. This staircase has glass railing, which meant that if the wood stair treads were to expand at all it could damage the glass. To overcome this challenge a strip of cork was installed either side of the treads to give the wood room to naturally expand and contract. These clean and contemporary stairs complement the design of the architecture without drawing too much attention away from the stunning art pieces.
