Sodexho Donates A Thousand Turkeys to Project Harvest Food Drive

Nearly six tons of turkeys will complete Thanksgiving Day meals for families in Washington, D.C.

Gaithersburg, MD, November 22, 2005- Sodexho USA (NYSE:SDX), the nation's leading provider of food and facilities management services in the U.S., announced today that it will make a Thanksgiving donation of 1,000 frozen turkeys - nearly six tons - to the Project Harvest Annual Food Drive. The donation is part of Sodexho's on-going commitment to fight hunger in Washington, D.C.

“Sodexho and the Sodexho Foundation realize that many families in our community are at risk for hunger and do not have access to nutritious meals on a daily basis," said Joan Rector McGlockton, Sodexho Foundation Board member and senior vice president, corporate affairs for Sodexho USA, who made the announcement at the Project Harvest collection site. “We are committed to helping meet their needs and provide hunger relief so that everyone who wants a meal, has a meal.”

Sodexho, through the Sodexho Foundation, has been the anchor of many anti-hunger initiatives in the Washington, D.C. community and this is the third year that it has supported Project Harvest. The Sodexho Foundation is a strong supporter of D.C. Central Kitchen and the Capital Area Food Bank.

The Foundation also helps fill a critical need in the Washington, D.C.- community by providing free lunches during the summer to children who receive free and reduced-cost lunches during the school year. Sodexho continues to make a difference each day as one of the largest donors of surplus perishable and non-perishable food to America's Second Harvest, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization. Furthering its commitment to fighting hunger nationwide, the Sodexho Foundation donated 575,000 meals to those affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the Gulf region.
