Heidi Modaro Named Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Planning for Sodexho USA Vending Services

GAITHERSBURG, MD June 1, 2005 - Sodexho USA, the leading provider of food and facilities management services in North America, announced today that Heidi Modaro has been named vice president of sales, marketing and planning for its Vending Services Division. The group provides vending, vending management and office refreshment services to all divisions within Sodexho. Modaro's responsibilities will include driving vending and office refreshment sales and services nationally and developing and managing a dedicated vending and refreshment services sales organization. In addition, she will direct the development of the strategic plan for the division and will report directly to Vending Services Division Vice President Eugene Piacentini but will work on cross-selling initiatives with sales teams throughout the company.

“Heidi Modaro brings a wealth of experience in the areas of sales and marketing with her to Sodexho,” said Eugene Piacentini division vice president, for Sodexho USA's Vending Services Division. “With over 15 years of experience in the field, she will be a tremendous asset to our division and our company.”

Modaro has spent much of her career in the food vending business, most recently serving as senior director of sales for New England Ice Cream. During her tenure there, she partnered with Sodexho to pilot a full-service vending program specifically for schools.

Previously, Modaro served as a sales development manager for Coca-Cola USA and was responsible for managing bottlers and major retailers in the Philadelphia region. Before working at Coca-Cola, she held various positions with Frito Lay, including vending, retail, foodservice, sales marketing and sales management.

Modaro currently serves as a director on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Vending Association, as well as, a director on the Board for the National Automatic Merchandising Association.

Modaro holds a bachelor's of science from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
