Exciting Performances from Radio Disney RD Frequency Teach Healthy Lifestyle Through Dancing, Singing and Interactive Games

Portland, Ore. - March 17, 2006 - Revolutionizing the food industry with the recent introduction of an innovative carbonated fresh fruit treat called Fizzy Fruit™, The Fizzy Fruit Company today announced a partnership with Radio Disney to debut Fizzy Fruit Friday- a dynamic school assembly promoting healthy living to kids. The performance will travel weekly to select schools and features singing and dancing by RD Frequency. The first Fizzy Fruit Friday takes center stage today at the Highland Elementary School in Gresham, Oregon.

The Fizzy Fruit Friday event supports the company's mission to create nutritional and education products, and aims to promote health, wellness and fitness through fun, interactive activities. Through its partnership with Sodexho USA, the leading provider of food and facilities management services, The Fizzy Fruit Company launched their sparkling fruit treat in the Albany, Oregon School District in late 2005. Additional schools including Highland Elementary will begin serving Fizzy Fruit in school lunches as a healthy menu choice.

“We are excited to host the first Fizzy Fruit Friday and believe Fizzy Fruit will teach kids that eating healthy and being active can be a lot of fun,” said Dan Wood, principal, Highland Elementary. “Fizzy Fruit is a wonderful addition to our school lunch menu.”

Fizzy Fruit is fresh cut or whole fruit that is carbonated to give it a bubbly taste and appearance. A special process adds carbonation to the water that is naturally contained in fruit without altering the nutritional content of the fruit. The result is grapes, oranges, apples, etc., that fizz in your mouth. Fizzy Fruit contains no preservatives, added sugar, or artificial sweeteners.

“Fizzy Fruit has received tremendous positive feedback from children, parents and schools,” said Tammy Marquez-Oldham, CEO, The Fizzy Fruit Company. “Beyond launching Fizzy Fruit, we believe ongoing education programs and activities are important to motivate kids to lead healthy lifestyles. Fizzy Fruit Friday is a fun and exciting way to reinforce the message of healthy living, and we hope to have a positive impact on children's lives.”

Fizzy Fruit is offered in selected school districts through Sodexho and will be available for commercial purchase later this year.
